Morning Departure:

• From Arusha: Depart around 7:00 AM (approx. 2.5–3 hours drive)
• From Moshi: Depart around 9:00 AM (approx. 45 minutes drive)

Journey through rural landscapes and banana plantations until you reach Materuni Village, home to the Chagga people. You’ll be welcomed with warm smiles and begin your guided walk through forested trails, learning about local plants, customs, and mountain farming.

Materuni Waterfall Hike:
A scenic 45-minute walk takes you to the majestic Materuni Falls, where water plunges over 90 meters into a cool, natural pool. The sound is soothing, the mist refreshing, and the view unforgettable. Take photos, relax, or even enjoy a dip if you’re feeling brave!

Chagga Coffee Experience:
After the hike, return to the village for an interactive coffee tour. Learn how the Chagga grow, roast, and grind Arabica beans using traditional methods — and then join in the process, singing local songs and tasting the freshest cup of organic coffee you’ve ever had.

Lunch & Return:
Enjoy a hearty local lunch of traditional Chagga cuisine before beginning your drive back to Arusha or Moshi in the late afternoon.
