Itinerary:

Early Morning – Zanzibar to Mikumi (by Air):
Your day begins with an early transfer to Zanzibar Airport for a scenic flight to Mikumi. As you soar above the Indian Ocean and over the Uluguru Mountains, the landscape dramatically shifts from coastal bliss to untamed wilderness. Upon landing, your safari vehicle and professional guide await at the airstrip.

Morning Game Drive – Wildlife Unleashed
Set out immediately on your first game drive through Mikumi’s vast golden plains. Known as “little Serengeti,” the park offers a high chance of spotting lions, elephants, giraffes, wildebeest, impalas, buffalo, and hippos. Keep your camera ready the park’s open terrain makes for excellent photography and thrilling sightings. Lunch, enjoy a packed bush lunch at a scenic picnic site inside the park or opt for lunch at a nearby lodge (depending on your preference and availability). Relish the peaceful setting as giraffes stroll by in the distance and hornbills echo through the trees.  In the afternoon Continue your exploration into new corners of Mikumi. Your guide will track fresh wildlife movements, enhancing your chances of spotting elusive predators like leopards or even cheetahs. The late afternoon light makes for beautiful photo opportunities and a dramatic safari sendoff.

Late Afternoon – Flight Back to Zanzibar:
Return to the airstrip for your scenic flight back to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to your hotel returning just in time to watch the sun dip into the Indian Ocean with memories of the wild still fresh in your mind.
